Caron’s Young Adult Assessment Program was created for young men and women 20-25 years old. This intensive assessment, which typically lasts 5 days, is conducted in a safe and controlled environment and designed to rule in or rule out a diagnosis of chemical dependency.
The comprehensive program includes a biopsychosocial assessment, addiction assessment and neuropsychological testing. Additionally, a team of Caron professionals will collect and evaluate information from the young adult’s medical and psychological providers when appropriate.
At the end of the assessment, the young adult and their family will meet with Caron professionals to review a verbal summary report, answer questions and make recommendations specific to the young adult. The Caron assessment team will also aid in the development of a customized treatment plan if a chemical dependency diagnosis is established.
